1. This
is an appeal by the applicant from a refusal of the High Court, the Hon. Mr.
Justice Butler, on 27th September, 2000, to grant leave for judicial review.
2. The
application is based essentially on the applicant’s dissatisfaction with
decisions of the High Court and the Supreme Court in unrelated civil matters.
3. Decisions
of the Supreme Court are final and binding on the parties. The applicant has
not put forward any rational or arguable basis for leave for judicial review to
be granted.
5. Further,
no evidence that the other unrelated civil proceedings would have any material
bearing on the task of the Circuit Court Judge in imposing sentence has been
put before the court.
6. Consequently,
the order of the court is to refuse the application. The learned trial judge
was correct to refuse the application. This court affirms that decision for the
reasons stated.
