| | DISTRICT COURT (NEW DISTRICTS) ORDER, 1927.
|
| | WHEREAS by an order (in this Order referred to as the Principal Order) made on the 16th day of August, 1924, by the Minister for Justice pursuant to
section 68
of the
Courts of Justice Act, 1924
(No. 10 of 1924), the said Minister divided Saorstát Eireann for the purposes of the District Court of Justice into the several districts set out therein :

| | AND WHEREAS it is enacted by sub-section (3) of
section 47
of the
Court Officers Act, 1926
(No. 27 of 1926), that it shall be lawful for the Minister for Justice from time to time, as he shall consider expedient, to do (amongst other things) either or both of the following things, that is to say (a) vary or abolish any district prescribed by him under the said
section 68
of the
Courts of Justice Act, 1924
, or (b) create any such new district :

| | AND WHEREAS by the District Court (Districts) Order, 1926, made under the said sub-section (3) of
section 47
of the
Court Officers Act, 1926
, certain of the districts created by the Principal Order were varied :
|
| | AND WHEREAS it is expedient that the several districts created by the Principal Order as varied by the District Court (Districts) Order, 1926, should be abolished and that new districts should be erected in lieu thereof :
|
| | NOW I, James FitzGerald-Kenney, Minister for Justice, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by sub-section (3) of
section 47
of the
Court Officers Act, 1926
(No. 27 of 1926), and of every and any other power me in this behalf enabling, do hereby order as follows, that is to say:—
|
|
| | 1. This Order may be cited for all purposes as the District Court (New Districts) Order, 1927, and shall come into operation on the 1st day of February, 1928.
|
|
| | 2. The
Interpretation Act, 1923
(No. 46 of 1923), applies to the interpretation of this Order in like manner as it applies to the interpretation of an Act of the Oireachtas.
|
|
| | 3. The several districts created by the Principal Order as varied by the District Court (Districts) Order, 1926, are hereby abolished and for the purpose of such abolition the said Orders are hereby revoked.
|
|
| | 4. In lieu of the districts abolished by this Order the several districts set out in the Schedule hereto are hereby created, and for the purposes of
section 68
of the
Courts of Justice Act, 1924
, (No. 10 of 1924), Saorstát Eireann shall henceforth be divided into the said districts so created, and for the purpose of identification such districts shall be numbered consecutively from 1 to 31.

| | 5. Every such district shall comprise and consist of the several areas specified in the Schedule hereto under the number of such district stated in the said Schedule.
|
