| | The Minister for Local Government and Public Health in exercise of the powers vested in him by
Section 33
of the
Local Government (Dublin) Act, 1930
, does, by this his Order, order as follows, that is to say :—
|
| | 1. This Order may be cited as the Dublin City (Borough Electoral Areas) Order, 1930.
|
| | 2. (1) In this Order—
|
| | (a) the expression " the Existing City " means the County Borough of Dublin as existing immediately before the passing of the
Local Government (Dublin) Act, 1930
;
|
| | (b) the expression " the added urban districts " means the urban district of Pembroke and the urban district of Rathmines and Rathgar to be added to the Existing City under the
Local Government (Dublin) Act, 1930
;
|
| | (c) the expression " the added rural area " means the area to be added to the Existing City under the
Local Government (Dublin) Act, 1930
, consisting of the townlands, parts of townlands and other land described in the First Schedule to the said Act, and to be more specifically defined on the maps to be prepared under the said Act.

| | (2) Other expressions used in this Order have the same meaning as in the
Local Government (Dublin) Act, 1930
.
|
| | 3. The area consisting of the Existing City, the added urban districts and the added rural area shall be and the same is hereby divided into five borough electoral areas as set out in the Schedule to this Order which shall be borough electoral areas for the election of ordinary members of the City Council of the County Borough of Dublin.
|
| | 4. The number of ordinary members of the said City Council to be elected for each of the said borough electoral areas shall be the number set out in Column III. of the Schedule to this Order opposite to the name of each borough electoral area.
|
| | 5. References in the Schedule to this Order to Wards shall be construed as references to Existing Wards of the Existing City.
