AGRICULTURAL PRODUCE (FRESH MEAT) ACT, 1930 (BEEF, PORK AND MUTTON) (COMMENCEMENT) ORDER 1930.

AGRICULTURAL PRODUCE (FRESH MEAT) ACT, 1930 (BEEF, PORK AND MUTTON) (COMMENCEMENT) ORDER 1930.

WHEREAS it is enacted by sub-section (1) of Section 2 of the Agricultural Produce (Fresh Meat) Act, 1930 (No. 10 of 1930), that the said Act, in so far as it applies or relates to beef, veal and the offals of cattle, shall come into operation on such day as shall be fixed for that purpose by order of the Minister for Agriculture, and it is enacted by sub-section (2) of the said Section 2, that the said Act, in so far as it applies or relates to pork and the offals of pigs, shall come into operation on such day as shall be fixed for that purpose by order of the said Minister, and it is enacted by sub-section (3) of the said Section 2 that the said Act, in so far as it applies or relates to mutton, lamb and the offals of sheep, shall come into operation on such day as shall be fixed for that purpose by order of the said Minister.

AND WHEREAS it is expedient that the said Act, in so far as it applies or relates as aforesaid, should come into operation on the 1st day of September, 1930.

NOW I, PATRICK HOGAN, Minister for Agriculture, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by the Agricultural Produce (Fresh Meat) Act, 1930 (No. 10 of 1930), and of every and any other power me in this behalf enabling do hereby order as follows:—

1. This Order may be cited for all purposes as the Agricultural Produce (Fresh Meat) Act, 1930 (Beef, Pork and Mutton) (Commencement) Order, 1930.

2. The Interpretation Act, 1923 (No. 46 of 1923), applies to the interpretation of this Order in like manner as it applies to the interpretation of an Act of the Oireachtas.

3. The 1st day of September, 1930, is hereby fixed and appointed as the day on which the Agricultural Produce (Fresh Meat) Act, 1930 (No. 10 of 1930), in so far as it applies or relates to beef, veal and the offals of cattle, pork and the offals of pigs and mutton, lamb and the offals of sheep, shall come into operation.
