VOCATIONAL EDUCATION REGULATIONS (No. 1), 1930.

VOCATIONAL EDUCATION REGULATIONS (No. 1), 1930.

WHEREAS it is enacted by sub-section (1) of section 125 of the Vocational Education Act, 1930 (No. 29 of 1930), that the Minister for Education may by order (amongst other things) make regulations prescribing any matter or thing referred to in the said Act as prescribed or to be prescribed or any matter or thing referred to in the said Act as prescribed or to be prescribed by regulations made under the said Act.

AND WHEREAS these Regulations relate to matters and things which are referred to in sections 44 and 46 of the said Act as prescribed.

NOW, I, JOHN MARCUS O'SULLIVAN, Minister for Education, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by the Vocational Education Act, 1930 (No. 29 of 1930), and of every and any other power me in this behalf enabling do by this order make the following Regulations, that is to say—

1.—These Regulations may be cited for all purposes as the Vocational Education Regulations (No. 1), 1930.

2.—In these Regulations the expression "the Act" means the Vocational Education Act, 1930 (No. 29 of 1930).

3.—The Interpretation Act, 1923 (No. 46 of 1923), applies to the interpretation of these Regulations in like manner as it applies to the interpretation of an Act of the Oireachtas.

4. Every annual scheme under sub-section (1) of section 44 of the Act shall be in the Form V. 1 in the Schedule hereto, and shall contain the particulars asked for or otherwise indicated in that Form.

5.—Every certificate issued by the Minister under sub-section (1) of section 46 of the Act shall be in the Form V. 2 in the Schedule hereto.

6.—Every demand sent by a vocational education committee to the rating authority for the vocational education area of such committee under sub-section (2) of section 46 of the Act shall be in the Form V. 3 in the Schedule hereto.

7.—For the purposes of sub-section (3) of section 46 of the Act the amount of a demand for or in respect of a local financial year made under sub-section (2) of the said section 46 by a vocational education committee to a rating authority shall be paid by such rating authority transferring such amount to the credit of the account of such vocational education committee in the bank which is treasurer of such vocational education committee in four equal instalments, whereof the first shall be so transferred on or before the 15th day of May in such local financial year, the second on or before the 1st day of July in such local financial year, the third on or before the 1st day of October in such local financial year, and the fourth on or before the 1st day of January in such local financial year.
