THE DUBLIN LOCAL ACTS (EXTENSION) ORDER, 1933.

DEPARTMENT OF LOCAL GOVERNMENT AND PUBLIC HEALTH.

THE LOCAL GOVERNMENT (DUBLIN) ACT, 1930 .

No. 13,416/1933.

WHEREAS by sub-section (2) of Section 102 of the Local Government (Dublin) Act, 1930 (in this Order referred to as " the Act "), the Minister for Local Government and Public Health is empowered to do by order (amongst other things) either or both of the following, that is to say :—

(a) to make such adaptations and modifications of and in any local, personal, or private Act, or any order relating to the Existing City or to either of the added urban districts or to any of the coastal urban districts, and in force at the passing of the Act, as appear to the Minister to be necessary or expedient for the purpose of carrying the Act into effect ;

(b) to apply to the whole of the City any local, personal, or private Act or any order relating to the Existing City or any portion thereof, or to either of the added urban districts, and in force at the passing of the Act.

AND WHEREAS the local Acts in this Order hereafter specified are local Acts relating to the Existing City or to either of the added urban districts and in force at the passing of the Act :

AND WHEREAS it is expedient that the portions of the said local Acts in this Order hereafter specified should apply to the whole of the City :

AND WHEREAS it appears to the Minister for Local Government and Public Health to be necessary and expedient for carrying the Act into effect that the adaptations and modifications in this Order hereafter specified should be made of and in the said portions of the said local Acts :

NOW, THEREFORE, the Minister for Local Government and Public Health, in exercise of the powers conferred on him by the said sub-section (2) of Section 102 of the Act, and of all other powers enabling him in this behalf, hereby orders as follows, that is to say :—

1. This Order may be cited as the Dublin Local Acts (Extension) Order, 1933.

2. The Interpretation Act, 1923 , shall apply to the interpretation of this Order in the same manner in which it applies to the interpretation of an Act of the Oireachtas.

3. This Order shall come into operation on the first day of April, 1933.

4. The portions mentioned in Column 2 of Part I and Part II of the Schedule to this Order of the local Acts specified in Column 1 of the said Schedule shall apply to the whole of the City.

5. The adaptations or modifications (if any) set forth in Column 3 of Part I of the Schedule to this Order opposite a portion of a local Act, specified in the said Part of the said Schedule, shall be made of or in such portion of such local Act in so far (and only in so far) as such portion has effect by virtue of this Order in the added urban districts and the added rural area.

6. The adaptations or modifications (if any) set forth in Column 3 of Part II of the Schedule to this Order opposite a portion of a local Act, specified in the said Part of the said Schedule, shall be made of or in such portion of such Act in its application to the whole of the City.
