TOBACCO (GROWERS' ARRANGEMENTS) REGULATIONS, 1935.

TOBACCO (GROWERS' ARRANGEMENTS) REGULATIONS, 1935.

WHEREAS by virtue of sub-section (1) of Section 32 of the Tobacco Act, 1934 (No. 37 of 1934), every holder of a grower's licence authorising the growing of tobacco in the year 1935 or any subsequent year is required to send to the Minister for Agriculture, before the 30th day of June in such year, a return in the form prescribed by the Minister for Agriculture specifying the several matters mentioned in the said sub-section:

AND WHEREAS it is enacted by sub-section (1) of Section 9 of the Tobacco Act, 1934 , that the Minister for Agriculture may by order make regulations in relation to any matter or thing referred to in the said Act as prescribed by the Minister for Agriculture :

NOW, THEREFORE, I, Seamas O Riain, Minister for Agriculture, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by the Tobacco Act, 1934 (No. 37 of 1934), and of every and any other power me in this behalf enabling, do hereby order and make the following Regulations, that is to say :—

1. These Regulations may be cited for all purposes as the Tobacco (Growers' Arrangements) Regulations, 1935.

2. The Interpretation Act, 1923 (No. 46 of 1923), applies to the interpretation of these Regulations in like manner as it applies to an Act of the Oireachtas.

3. The return to be made, pursuant to sub-section (1) of Section 32 of the Tobacco Act, 1934 (No. 37 of 1934), by holders of growers' licences authorising the growing of tobacco in the year 1935 or any subsequent year shall be in the Form set out in the Schedule hereto.

4. Tobacco (Growers' Arrangements) Regulations, 1934 (Statutory Rules and Orders, No. 316 of 1934), are hereby revoked.
