EMERGENCY IMPOSITION OF DUTIES (No. 71) ORDER, 1935. | ||
WHEREAS it is enacted by Section 1 of the Emergency Imposition of Duties Act, 1932 (No. 16 of 1932), that the Executive Council may, if and whenever they think proper, do by order all or any of certain things mentioned in that section and, amongst others, amend, vary, or revoke any order previously made under the said section : | ||
AND WHEREAS the Emergency Imposition of Duties (No. 31) Order, 1934 (statutory Rules and Orders, No. 135 of 1934), was made by the Executive Council under the said Section 1 of the said Act and was varied by the Emergency Imposition of Duties (No. 52) Order, 1934 (Statutory Rules and Orders, No. 290 of 1934) and by the Emergency Imposition of Duties (No. 58) Order, 1934 (Statutory Rules and Orders, No. 356 of 1934) which were also made by the Executive Council under the said section : | ||
NOW, the Executive Council, in exercise of the powers conferred on them by Section 1 of the Emergency Imposition of Duties Act, 1932 (No. 16 of 1932), and of every and any other power them in this behalf enabling, do hereby order as follows :— | ||
1. This Order may be cited for all purposes as the Emergency Imposition of Duties (No. 71) Order, 1935. | ||
2. The Interpretation Act, 1923 (No. 46 of 1923), applies to the interpretation of this Order in like manner as it applies to the interpretation of an Act of the Oireachtas. | ||
3. The excise duty imposed by the Emergency Imposition of Duties (No. 31) Order, 1934 (Statutory Rules and Orders, No. 135 of 1934), shall in respect of every pig carcase or part of a pig carcase used within the meaning of paragraph 3 of that Order on or after the 5th day of August, 1935, be charged, levied, and paid at the rate of five shillings in respect of every such carcase or part of a carcase in lieu of the rate at which the said duty is now chargeable by virtue of the Emergency Imposition of Duties (No. 58) Order, 1934 (Statutory Rules and Orders, No. 356 of 1934). | ||
