EXPORTATION OF CERTAIN GOODS (LIVE POULTRY) ORDER, 1936 ORDER MADE BY THE REVENUE COMMISSIONERS,

EXPORTATION OF CERTAIN GOODS (LIVE POULTRY) ORDER, 1936 ORDER MADE BY THE REVENUE COMMISSIONERS,

Dated 26th May, 1936.

The Revenue Commissioners, in pursuance of the powers conferred on them by Section 139 of the Customs Consolidation Act, 1876, hereby order as follows:—

1. The exporter or shipper of any live poultry intended for exportation shall make due entry and obtain clearance of such live poultry before shipment or exportation.

2. The entry required under paragraph 1 of this Order shall be made by delivering to the Collector or other proper Officer of Customs and Excise a Specification in the approved form, duly completed, in duplicate.

3. The entry shall specify, in addition to the other particulars required to be shown thereon,

(a) the name and address of the exporter;

(b) the name and address of the consignee;

(c) the name and address of the owner;

(d) the number of crates and the number and net weight of each class of live poultry exported; and

(e) the value of the consignment;

and shall in all cases contain a declaration on the part of the person making entry that the particulars in the entry are true and are correctly stated.

4. The clearance required under paragraph 1 of this Order shall be granted by the signature of the proper Officer of Customs and Excise on the document on which entry has been made in pursuance of this Order.

5. This Order shall come into operation forthwith.

6. The Interpretation Act, 1889, applies to the interpretation of this Order in like manner as it applies to the interpretation of an Act of the Oireachtas passed before the first day of January, 1924.

7. This Order may be cited as the Exportation of Live Poultry (Entry) Order, 1936.

EXPORTATION OF LIVE POULTRY.

1. Collectors and officers concerned are informed that the Commissioners have made an Order (see Appendix) dated 26th May, 1936, under Section 139 of the Customs Consolidation Act, 1876, requiring due entry and clearance before shipment or exportation of live poultry.

2. The instructions contained in paragraphs 2 to 7 of General Order No. 219/1932 are, mutatis mutandis, to be applied.

3. A Public Notice, No. 209, for the information of exporters, agents and other persons concerned, is being printed and will be circulated for distribution in due course. Further copies, if required, may be obtained on requisition in the usual manner.
