COURTS OF JUSTICE ACT, 1936 (SECTION 9) (APPOINTED DAY) ORDER, 1937. | ||||
WHEREAS it is enacted by sub-section (5) of Section 9 of the Courts of Justice Act, 1936 (No. 48 of 1936), that the Minister for Justice may, by order made after consultation with the Chief Justice and the President of the High Court, appoint a day not later than six months after the passing of the said Act to be the appointed day for the purposes of the said Section 9: | ||||
AND WHEREAS the Courts of Justice Act, 1936 , was passed on the 28th day of November, 1936: | ||||
NOW, I, PATRICK J. RUTTLEDGE, Minister for Justice, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by sub-section (5) of Section 9 of the Courts of Justice Act, 1936 (No. 48 of 1936), and of every and any other power me in this behalf enabling and after consultation with the Chief Justice and the President of the High Court, do hereby order as follows:— | ||||
1. This Order may be cited as the Courts of Justice Act, 1936 (Section 9) (Appointed Day) Order, 1937. | ||||
2. The Interpretation Act, 1923 (No. 46 of 1923), applies to the interpretation of this Order in like manner as it applies to the interpretation of an Act of the Oireachtas. | ||||
3. The twentieth day of January, 1937, is hereby appointed to be the appointed day for the purposes of Section 9 of the Courts of Justice Act, 1936 (No. 48 of 1936). | ||||
