DANGEROUS DRUGS ACT, 1934 (COMMENCEMENT) ORDER, 1937.

WHEREAS it is enacted by subsection (2) of Section 1 of the Dangerous Drugs Act, 1934 (No. 1 of 1934), that the said Act shall come into operation on such day as shall be fixed for that purpose by order of the Executive Council:

NOW, THEREFORE, the Executive Council, in exercise of the powers conferred on them by subsection (2) of Section 1 of the Dangerous Drugs Act, 1934 (No. 1 of 1934), and of every and any other power them in this behalf enabling, do hereby order as follows, that is to say:—

1. This Order may be cited as the Dangerous Drugs Act, 1934 (Commencement) Order, 1937.

2. The Interpretation Act, 1923 (No. 46 of 1923), applies to the interpretation of this Order in like manner as it applies to the interpretation of an Act of the Oireachtas.

3. The 1st day of April, 1937, is hereby fixed as the day on which the Dangerous Drugs Act, 1934 (No. 1 of 1934), shall come into operation.
