I, SÉAMAS Ó RIAIN, Minister for Agriculture, in exercise of the powers now exercisable by me under the Fisheries Acts, 1842 to 1939, and of every and any other power me in this behalf enabling, do hereby make the following By-Law, that is to say :— | ||
(1) This By-Law may be cited as the Lackagh River Netting By-Law, No. 449, 1943. | ||
(2) This By-Law shall come into operation on the 4th day of February, 1943. | ||
(3) The Interpretation Act, 1937 (No. 38 of 1937), applies to this By-Law. | ||
(4) No drift net may be used for the purpose of taking or with intent to take fish in the tidal waters of the River Lackagh. | ||
(5) No draft net of greater length than eighty-five yards may be used for the purpose of taking or with intent to take salmon or trout in that portion of the tidal waters of the River Lackagh lying inside or to the southward of a straight line drawn in an easterly direction from Grants Point in the townland of Castledoe to the opposite shore. | ||
(6) Each and every person offending against this By-Law shall forfeit and pay for each offence a sum not exceeding Five Pounds and any net used contrary to this By-Law shall be forfeited. | ||
