DISTRICT COURT (NEW AREAS) ORDER, 1927 (VARIATION No. 104) ORDER, 1947.

I, GERALD BOLAND, Minister for Justice, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by subsection (3) of section 47 of the Court Officers Act, 1926 (No. 27 of 1926), and of section 11 of the Court Officers Act, 1945 (No. 25 of 1945), and of every and any other power me in this behalf enabling, hereby order as follows :

1.—(1) This Order may be cited as the District Court (New Areas) Order, 1927 (Variation No. 104) Order, 1947.

(2) This Order shall come into operation on the 1st day of April, 1947.

2.—(1) For the purpose of civil proceedings, there is hereby created in District No. 15 a new district court area, to be known as the district court area of Templemore, which shall consist of the district electoral divisions specified in the First Schedule hereto.

(2) For the purpose of civil proceedings, the district court area of Thurles in District No. 15 is hereby varied by the removal therefrom of the district electoral divisions specified in the First Schedule hereto.

(3) The District Court for the district court area of Templemore, created by this Article, shall be held at the place and times set out in the First Schedule hereto.

3. The District Court for the district court areas specified in the Second Schedule hereto shall be held at the times set out in that Schedule in lieu of the times heretofore appointed.

4.—(1) Business transacted in the District Court which is initiated before the date on which this Order comes into operation and is not completed before that date shall be continued and completed in like manner as if this Order had not been made.

(2) For the purposes of this Article, business transacted in the District Court shall be regarded as being initiated on the day on which the summons, warrant process, or other originating document relating to it is issued.
