BANKS (CLOSING) (NO. 2) ORDER, 1947. | ||
The Government, in exercise of the powers conferred on them by section 2 of the Supplies and Services (Temporary Provisions) Act, 1946 (No. 22 of 1946), hereby order as follows : | ||
1. This Order may be cited as the Banks (Closing) (No. 2) Order, 1947. | ||
2. Every Bank in the State is hereby authorised to close on Tuesday, the 7th day of October, 1947, and shall, in respect of such closing, enjoy the same immunities as if that date were a bank holiday throughout the State. | ||
