TOWNS IMPROVEMENT (IRELAND) ACT, 1854 ADAPTATION ORDER, 1947. | ||
The Government, in exercise of the powers conferred on them by section 12 of the Adaptation of Enactments Act, 1922 (No. 2 of 1922) (as adapted in consequence of the enactment of the Constitution), and section 5 of the Constitution (Consequential Provisions) Act, 1937 (No 38 of 1937), hereby order as follows :— | ||
1. This Order may be cited as the Towns Improvement (Ireland) Act, 1854, Adaptation Order, 1947. | ||
2. The Interpretation Act, 1937 (No. 38 of 1937), applies to this Order. | ||
3. Sections 4, 6 and 21 of the Towns Improvement (Ireland) Act, 1854, shall have effect as if, for the references to justices of the peace resident within ten miles of a town, there were substituted references to the county manager for the county in which the town is situate. | ||
