TOWNS IMPROVEMENT (IRELAND) ACT, 1854 ADAPTATION ORDER, 1947.

TOWNS IMPROVEMENT (IRELAND) ACT, 1854 ADAPTATION ORDER, 1947.

The Government, in exercise of the powers conferred on them by section 12 of the Adaptation of Enactments Act, 1922 (No. 2 of 1922) (as adapted in consequence of the enactment of the Constitution), and section 5 of the Constitution (Consequential Provisions) Act, 1937 (No 38 of 1937), hereby order as follows :—

1. This Order may be cited as the Towns Improvement (Ireland) Act, 1854, Adaptation Order, 1947.

2. The Interpretation Act, 1937 (No. 38 of 1937), applies to this Order.

3. Sections 4, 6 and 21 of the Towns Improvement (Ireland) Act, 1854, shall have effect as if, for the references to justices of the peace resident within ten miles of a town, there were substituted references to the county manager for the county in which the town is situate.
