POULTRY HATCHERIES ACT, 1947 (COMMENCEMENT) (No. 1) ORDER, 1948.

WHEREAS it is enacted by section 2 of the Poultry Hatcheries Act, 1947 (No. 49 of 1947) that the said Act shall come into operation on such day or days as shall be fixed therefor by any order or orders of the Minister for Agriculture either generally or with reference to any particular purpose or provision and different days may be so fixed for different provisions of the said Act ;

NOW, I, JAMES M. DILLON, Minister for Agriculture, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 2 of the Poultry Hatcheries Act, 1947 (No. 49 of 1947), hereby order as follows :--

1. This Order may be cited as the Poultry Hatcheries Act, 1947 (Commencement) (No. 1) Order, 1948.

2. The 1st day of December, 1948, is hereby fixed as the day on which the following provisions of the Poultry Hatcheries Act, 1947 (No. 49 of 1947) shall come into operation, that is to say :--

Part I ;

Part II ;

Part III, except sections 12, 13 and 14 ;

Part IV.
