		S.I. No. 27/1949: THE REPUBLIC OF IRELAND ACT, 1948 (COMMENCEMENT) ORDER, 1949.
		THE REPUBLIC OF IRELAND ACT, 1948 (COMMENCEMENT) ORDER, 1949.
		The Government, in exercise of the power conferred on them by section 4 of The Republic of Ireland Act, 1948 (No. 22 of 1948), hereby order as follows :--
		1. This Order may be cited as The Republic of Ireland Act, 1948 (Commencement) Order, 1949.
		2. The 18th day of April, 1949, is hereby appointed as the day on which The Republic of Ireland Act, 1948 (No. 22 of 1948), shall come into operation.
		GIVEN under the Official Seal of the Government, this 4th day of February, 1949.
