THE REPUBLIC OF IRELAND ACT, 1948 (COMMENCEMENT) ORDER, 1949. |

The Government, in exercise of the power conferred on them by section 4 of The Republic of Ireland Act, 1948 (No. 22 of 1948), hereby order as follows :-- |
||
|
1. This Order may be cited as The Republic of Ireland Act, 1948 (Commencement) Order, 1949. |
||
|
2. The 18th day of April, 1949, is hereby appointed as the day on which The Republic of Ireland Act, 1948 (No. 22 of 1948), shall come into operation. |
||
