TRANSPORT ACT, 1944 (ALTERATION OF MAXIMUM RAILWAY CHARGES OF THE DUNDALK, NEWRY AND GREENORE RAILWAY COMPANY) ORDER, 1949.

TRANSPORT ACT, 1944 (ALTERATION OF MAXIMUM RAILWAY CHARGES OF THE DUNDALK, NEWRY AND GREENORE RAILWAY COMPANY) ORDER, 1949.

I, DANIEL MORRISSEY, Minister for Industry and Commerce, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 89 of the Transport Act, 1944 (No. 21 of 1944), hereby order as follows :--

1. This Order may be cited as the Transport Act, 1944 (Alteration of Maximum Railway Charges of the Dundalk, Newry and Greenore Railway Company) Order, 1949.

2. The maximum charges applicable to the Dundalk, Newry and Greenore Railway Company for traffic by rail are hereby altered in accordance with the Schedule to this Order and the altered charges shall come into operation on the 14th day of May, 1949.

SCHEDULE.

PART I.

Maximum ranway charges applicable to the Dundalk, Newry and Greenore Railway Company as modified and set out in the undermentioned pages of the Order of the Court of the Railway Tribunal dated 24th June, 1940, under the provisions of Section 31 of the Railways Act, 1924 , to be altered as follows :--

Charges to be increased by 331/3%

Subject in every case to the following condition :--

In determining the amount to be added to the existing maximum charge fractions of one penny if less than one-half to be dropped and if one-half or more to be charged as one penny.

PART II.

Substitution for the appropriate maximum railway charges in operation immediately prior to the date upon which this Order shall take effect of the altered maximum railway charges as set out hereunder :--
