HAIRDRESSING SHOPS (HOURS OF TRADING ON WEEKDAYS) (COUNTY BOROUGH OF DUBLIN) ORDER, 1949. |

The Minister for Industry and Commerce, in exercise of the powers conferred on him by Section 25 of the Shops (Hours of Trading) Act, 1938 (No. 3 of 1938), and after due compliance with subsection (1) of Section 4 of the said Act, hereby orders as follows:-- |

1. (1) This Order may be cited as the Hairdressing Shops (Hours of Trading on Weekdays) (County Borough of Dublin) Order, 1949. |
||
(2) This Order shall come into operation on the 29th day of August, 1949. |
||
2. The County Borough of Dublin shall be a trading area for the purposes of this Order. |
||
3. In this Order the expression " shop to which this Order applies " means any shop situate in the trading area for the purpose of this Order, in which there is carried on the business of hairdressing, whether any other business is or is not carried on in the shop. |
||
4. The proprietor of a shop to which this Order applies shall not open or keep open the shop for the serving of customers-- |
||
(a) on any Saturday, the eve of St. Patrick's Day or the eve of Christmas day before the hour of 9 a.m. or after the hour of 8 p.m., |
||
(b) on any other weekday before the hour of 9 a.m. or after the hour of 7 p.m. |
||
5. The proprietor of a shop to which this Order applies may, in a case of emergency, serve a customer at any time within half an hour after the ordinary closing hour but not later, if the customer entered the shop before such closing hour. |
||
6. The Barbers' Shops (Hours of Trading on Weekdays) (Dublin City) Order, 1944 ( S. R. & O. No. 276 of 1944 ), is hereby revoked. |
||
