PENSIONS (INCREASE) (LIMERICK HARBOUR COMMISSIONERS) REGULATIONS, 1950. |

I, DANIEL MORRISSEY, Minister for Industry and Commerce, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 7 of the Pensions (Increase) Act, 1950 (No. 3 of 1950), hereby make the following regulations :-- |
||
1. These Regulations may be cited as the Pensions (Increase) (Limerick Harbour Commissioners) Regulations, 1950. |
||
2. In these Regulations-- |
||
the expression " the Act " means the Pensions (Increase) Act, 1950 (No. 3 of 1950) ; |
||
the expression " the appropriate sum " has the meaning given to it in the Act ; |
||
the expression " the harbour authority " means the Limerick Harbour Commissioners ; |
||
the word " pension " means an allowance specified in Part V of the Schedule to the Act. |
||
3. The increase in pension which may be granted by the harbour authority under the Act shall not exceed whichever of the following is the less-- |
||
(a) the appropriate sum, or |
||
(b) the amount which would bring the pension up to that which would be payable to a pensioner of equivalent status and service who retired on the 1st day of April, 1949. |
||
