AGRICULTURAL WAGES (MINIMUM RATES) (NO. 2) ORDER, 1948 (AMENDMENT) ORDER, 1950. |

The Agricultural Wages Board in exercise of the powers conferred on them by section 17 of the Agricultural Wages Act, 1936 (No. 53 of 1936), and of every and any other power them in this behalf enabling, hereby order as follows : |
||
1. (1) This Order may be cited as the Agricultural Wages (Minimum Rates) (No. 2) Order, 1948 (Amendment) Order, 1950. |
||
(2) This Order shall come into operation on the 9th day of October, 1950. |
||
2. The Interpretation Act, 1937 (No. 38 of 1937), applies to this Order. |
||
3. In this Order the expression " the Principal Order " means the Agricultural Wages (Minimum Rates) (No. 2) Order, 1948 ( S.I. No. 402 of 1948 ), as amended by the Agricultural Wages (Minimum Rates) (No. 2) Order, 1948 (Amendment) Order, 1949 ( S.I. No. 63 of 1949 ). |

4. The First Schedule to the Principal Order is hereby amended-- |
||
(a) by the deletion of all matter in column (3) at reference number 12 and the substitution therefor of the words " The whole of the wages district " ; and |
||
(b) by the deletion of all matter in columns (3) and (4) at reference number 13. |
||
5. The several minimum rates of wages and the several benefits or advantages which may be reckoned as payment of wages in lieu of payment in cash specified in the Second, Third, Fourth and Fifth Schedules to the Principal Order and applicable to male agricultural workers of 20 years and over shall be applicable to male agricultural workers aged 19 years and over and the said rates of wages and the said benefits or advantages applicable to male agricultural workers under 20 years and not under 19 years shall cease to be so applicable. |
