CARRIAGE OF SUGAR BEET ORDER, 1950. |

The Government, in exercise of the powers conferred on them by the Supplies and Services (Temporary Provisions) Act, 1946 (No. 22 of 1946), and of every and any other power them in this behalf enabling, hereby order as follows :-- |

1. This Order may be cited as the Carriage of Sugar Beet Order, 1950. |
||
|
2. (1) Where sugar beet is carried in the course of a merchandise road transport business, the business shall, as respects the carriage of sugar beet, be deemed to be authorised by a merchandise licence. |
||
|
(2) In this Article the expressions " merchandise road transport business " and " merchandise licence " have the same meanings as in the Road Transport Act, 1933 (No. 8 of 1933). |
||
