S.I. No. 170/1955:

MINISTER FOR DEFENCE (AGENCY) (No. 2) ORDER, 1955.

MINISTER FOR DEFENCE (AGENCY) (No. 2) ORDER, 1955.

WHEREAS Seán MacEoin, Minister for Defence, will be temporarily unable to discharge the duties of his office :

NOW, THEREFORE, the Government, in exercise of the powers conferred on them by subsection (1) of section 7 of the Ministers and Secretaries (Amendment) Act, 1939 (No. 36 of 1939), hereby order as follows :--

1. This Order may be cited as the Minister for Defence (Agency) (No. 2) Order, 1955.

2. Liam Cosgrave, Minister for External Affairs, is hereby nominated to execute the office of Minister for Defence during the period commencing on the 7th day of September, 1955, and ending on the 30th day of September, 1955.

GIVEN under the Official Seal of the Government, this 2nd day of September, 1955.
