TRAFFIC WARDENS REGULATIONS, 1955. |

The Minister for Local Government in exercise of the powers conferred on him by sections 4 and 37 of the Local Government Act, 1955 (No. 9 of 1955) by this his Order makes the following regulations: |
||
1. These Regulations maybe cited as the Traffic Wardens Regulations, 1955. |
||
2. In these Regulations, "the Act" means the Local Government Act, 1955 . |
||
3. The sign to be exhibited by a traffic warden requiring traffic to stop and remain stopped in accordance with subsection (2) of section 37 of the Act shall be of the shape, colours, dimensions and design set out in the Schedule hereto. |
||
4. For the purposes of subsection (4) of section 37 of the Act-- |
||
(a) the appointed day shall be the 1st day of January, 1956; |
||
(b) the uniform to be worn by a traffic warden exercising powers under subsection (2) of the said section 37 shall be a white or off-white overcoat. |
