REGISTRY OF DEEDS (IRELAND) ACT, 1832 (ADAPTATION) ORDER, 1956. |

The Government, in exercise of the powers conferred on them by section 12 of the Adaptation of Enactments Act, 1922 (No. 2 of 1922) (as adapted in consequence of the enactment of the Constitution), and section 5 of the Constitution (Consequential Provisions) Act, 1937 (No. 40 of 1937), hereby order as follows : |

1. This Order may be cited as the Registry of Deeds (Ireland) Act, 1832 (Adaptation) Order, 1956. |
||
2. The Interpretation Act, 1937 (No. 38 of 1937), applies to this Order. |
||
3. Sections 2, 3, 4 and 35 of the Registry of Deeds (Ireland) Act, 1832, shall have effect as if, for the references therein to the Treasury, there were substituted references to the Minister for Justice. |
||

EXPLANATORY NOTE. |

This Adaptation Order enables the Minister for Justice to exercise the functions formerly exercisable by the Treasury under the Registry of Deeds (Ireland) Act, 1832. |
