S.I. No. 157/1958:

HARBOURS (TRANSFER OF MINISTERIAL POWERS) ORDER, 1958.

HARBOURS (TRANSFER OF MINISTERIAL POWERS) ORDER, 1958.

The Government, in exercise of the powers conferred on them by paragraph (d) of subsection (1) of section 6 of the Ministers and Secretaries (Amendment) Act, 1939 (No. 36 of 1939), hereby order as follows :--

1. This Order may be cited as the Harbours (Transfer of Ministerial Powers) Order, 1958.

2. The powers which are specified in the Schedule to this Order and which, immediately before the making of this Order, stood vested in the Minister for Industry and Commerce are hereby transferred from that Minister to the Minister for Finance.

SCHEDULE.

1. The power to appoint a harbour master at the harbour of Dún Laoghaire.

2. The power to appoint a harbour master at the harbour of Dunmore East.

3. The power to appoint a harbour master at the harbour of Howth.

GIVEN under the Official Seal of the Government, this 15th day of July, 1958.

EXPLANATORY NOTE.

This instrument transfers the power to appoint harbour masters at the three State Harbours of Dún Laoghaire, Dunmore East and Howth from the Minister for Industry and Commerce to the Minister for Finance.
