CONTROL OF IMPORTS (QUOTAS Nos. 1 TO 32) (AMENDMENT) ORDER, 1939 (AMENDMENT) ORDER, 1958.

The Government, in exercise of the powers conferred on them by the Control of Imports Acts, 1934 and 1937, hereby order as follows :

1. This Order may be cited as the Control of Imports (Quotas Nos. 1 to 32) (Amendment) Order, 1939 (Amendment) Order, 1958.

2. This Order shall come into operation on the 5th day of August, 1958.

3. The Interpretation Act, 1937 (No. 38 of 1937), applies to this Order.

4. Paragraph 3 of and reference number 4 in the Second Schedule to the Control of Imports (Quotas Nos. 1 to 32) (Amendment) Order, 1939 ( S. R. & O. No. 402 of 1939 ), shall, in so far as they amend the Control of Imports (Quota No. 13) Order, 1935 ( S. R. & O. No. 59 of 1935 ), have effect as if " (d) the binding of books." in the second column of that Schedule at that reference number were deleted.

EXPLANATORY NOTE.

This Order removes an exemption in Quota Order No. 13 for book-binding cloth.
