CONTROL OF IMPORTS (QUOTA No. 12, THIRTY-EIGHTH PERIOD) (SILK OR ARTIFICIAL SILK HOSE) ORDER, 1960.

CONTROL OF IMPORTS (QUOTA No. 12, THIRTY-EIGHTH PERIOD) (SILK OR ARTIFICIAL SILK HOSE) ORDER, 1960.

The Government, in exercise of the powers conferred on them by the Control of Imports Acts, 1934 and 1937, hereby order as follows :--

1. This Order may be cited as the Control of Imports (Quota No. 12, Thirty-eighth Period) (Silk or Artificial Silk Hose) Order, 1960.

2. The Interpretation Act, 1937 (No. 38 of 1937), applies to this Order.

3. The period specified in the second column of the Schedule to this order is hereby appointed to be the next quota period under the quota Order specified in the first column of the said Schedule and the quantity of goods to which such quota order applies specified in the third column of the said schedule is hereby appointed to be the quota in respect of the said next quota period.

Hose (other than half-hose) made wholly or partly of silk or artificial silk.

GIVEN under the Official Seal of the Government, this 26th day of January, 1960.

EXPLANATORY NOTE.

This instrument appoints the quantity of hose, made wholly or partly of silk or artificial silk, which may be imported during the period 1st March, 1960 to 28th February, 1961, at 570,000 pairs.
