LOCAL GOVERNMENT ACT, 1955 (COMMENCEMENT) ORDER, 1961. |

The Minister for Local Government in exercise of the powers conferred on him by section 3 of the Local Government Act, 1955 (No. 9 of 1955) hereby orders as follows:-- |
||
|
1. This Order may be cited as the Local Government Act, 1955 (Commencement) Order, 1961. |
||
|
2. Section 3 of the Local Government Act, 1955 shall come into operation on the 1st day of January, 1962, for the purpose of effecting the repeal of the Motor Car (International Circulation) Act, 1909. |
||
|

EXPLANATORY NOTE |

|
The effect of this Order is to repeal as from 1st January, 1961, the Motor Car (International Circulation) Act, 1909. |
