I, MICHEÁL Ó MÓRÁIN, Minister for Lands, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by Section 9 of the Fisheries (Consolidation) Act, 1959 (No. 14 of 1959), hereby make the following Bye-Law : |
||
1. This Bye-Law may be cited as the Ballyshannon District Netting Bye-Law No. 505, 1961. |
||
2. (1) During the period commencing on the 7th day of August, 1961, and ending on the 19th day of August, 1961, the prohibitions contained in the Ballyshannon District Bye-Law No. 503, 1960, shall not apply in relation to the use in, or to the having in possession in any place on or near, the tidal waters to which this paragraph applies of draft nets of no greater length than eighty-five yards for the purpose of taking or with intent to take salmon or trout. |

(2) This paragraph applies to-- |
||
(a) the tidal waters of the River Erne other than the portion thereof which is situated upstream or to the eastward of a straight line drawn from Gibby Point to the northernmost point of the townland of Portnason, and |
||
(b) the tidal waters of the River Erne and Abbey River, other than the portions thereof which are situated upstream or to the northward of a straight line drawn from the town boundary of Ballyshannon where it meets high water mark at Whitehill Point to the point of land two hundred and seventy yards northward of Gibby Point. |
