AN BORD GRÁIN (ASSIGNMENT OF ADDITIONAL FUNCTIONS) ORDER, 1963. |

I, PATRICK SMITH, Minister for Agriculture, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 7 of the Agricultural Produce (Cereals) (Amendment) Act, 1958 (No. 24 of 1958), and with the consent of the Minister for Finance hereby order as follows:-- |
||
1. This Order may be cited as the An Bord Gráin (Assignment of Additional Functions) Order, 1963. |
||
2. The following functions are hereby assigned to An Bord Gráin: |
||
(a) importing and selling during the period commencing on the 16th day of August, 1963, and ending on the 31st day of July, 1964, grain sorghums and maize in such quantities as may be agreed on by the Minister and the Board from time to time, |
||
(b) purchasing and re-selling home-grown barley and home-grown feed wheat, harvested in the year 1963. |
||
3. For the purpose of fulfilling the functions assigned to it by this Order An Bord Gráin may arrange for the importation and sale of grain sorghums and maize and the purchase and re-sale of home-grown barley and home-grown feed wheat on its behalf by agents. |
||
4. For the purpose of fulfilling the function mentioned in paragraph (b) of article 2 of this Order An Bord Gráin may make such advances and on such terms as it thinks proper to its agents for the purpose of financing the purchase of home-grown barley and home-grown feed wheat on its behalf. |
||

EXPLANATORY NOTE. |
||
