HEALTH AUTHORITIES ACT, 1960 (WICKLOW MENTAL HOSPITAL DISTRICT) ORDER, 1964.

The Minister for Health, in exercise of the powers conferred on him by paragraph (a) of subsection (6) of Section 2 of the Health Authorities Act, 1960 (No. 9 of 1960), upon request made, in accordance with paragraph (b) of the said subsection by the Council of the County of Wicklow by resolution, hereby orders as follows :

1. This Order may be cited as the Health Authorities Act, 1960 (Wicklow Mental Hospital District) Order, 1964.

2. Subsection (5) of Section 2 of the Health Authorities Act, 1960 , shall cease to have effect on the 1st day of April, 1964.

EXPLANATORY NOTE.

This Order ends the arrangement whereby three members of the Wicklow County Council attended and voted at meetings of the Dublin Health Authority considering business in relation to the provision of services under the Mental Treatment Acts, 1945 to 1961. It is consequential on the commencement of Section 25 of the Health Authorities Act, 1960 ( S.I. No. 72 of 1964 ).
