COPYRIGHT (EXCEPTION FROM DELIVERY OF BOOKS TO CERTAIN LIBRARIES) REGULATIONS, 1964.

I, JOHN LYNCH, Minister for Industry and Commerce, on the application of the trustees of the National Library of Ireland, the authority having control of the Library of Trinity College, Dublin, and the respective authorities having control of the three constituent Colleges of the National University of Ireland and St. Patrick's College, Maynooth, and in exercise of the powers conferred on me by subsection (1) of section 56 of the Copyright Act, 1963 (No. 10 of 1963), hereby make the following regulations:

1. These Regulations may be cited as the Copyright (Exception from Delivery of Books to Certain Libraries) Regulations, 1964.

2. These Regulations shall come into operation on the 1st day of October, 1964.

3. There shall be excepted from the provisions of subsection (1) of section 56 of the Copyright Act, 1963 (No. 10 of 1963), in regard to--

(a) the trustees of the National Library of Ireland,

(b) the authority having control of the Library of Trinity College, Dublin, and

(c) the respective authorities having control of the three constituent Colleges of the National University of Ireland and St. Patrick's College, Maynooth, publications of the following kinds, that is to say:

(i) trade advertisements,

(ii) trade cards,

(iii) trade catalogues,

(iv) trade circulars,

(v) trade coupons,

(vi) trade designs,

(vii) trade forms,

(viii) trade labels,

(ix) trade leaflets,

(x) trade plans,

(xi) trade posters,

(xii) trade price lists,

(xiii) trade prospectuses,

(xiv) trade show cards, and

(xv) trade wrappers.

EXPLANATORY NOTE

These Regulations specify publications exempted from the provisions of section 56 of the Copyright Act, 1963 , which require publishers to deliver copies of books to certain libraries.
