		I, BRIAN LENIHAN, Minister for Justice, in exercise of the power conferred on me by subsection (2) of section 1 of the Pawnbrokers Act, 1964 (No. 31 of 1964), hereby order as follows :
		1. This Order may be cited as the Pawnbrokers Act, 1964 (Commencement) Order, 1964.
		2. The Pawnbrokers Act, 1964 (No. 31 of 1964), shall come into operation on the 1st day of January, 1965.

		EXPLANATORY NOTE
		This order fixes the date of the coming into operation of the Pawnbrokers Act, 1964 .
