		I, BRIAN LENIHAN, Minister for Justice, in exercise of the power conferred on me by section 2 of the Extradition Act, 1965 (No. 17 of 1965) , hereby order as follows:
		1. This Order may be cited as the Extradition Act, 1965 (Commencement) Order, 1965.
		2. The Extradition Act, 1965 (No. 17 of 1965) , shall come into operation on the 16th day of August, 1965.
		GIVEN under my Official Seal this 23rd day of July, 1965.

		EXPLANATORY NOTE
		This Order brings the Extradition Act, 1965 , into operation on the 16th August, 1965.
