I, CHARLES J. HAUGHEY, Minister for Agriculture and Fisheries, in exercise of the power conferred on me by section 1 (2) of the Diseases of Animals Act, 1966 (No. 6 of 1966), hereby order as follows :

1. This Order may be cited as the Diseases of Animals Act, 1966 (Section 56) (Commencement) Order, 1966.

2. The 6th day of October, 1966, is hereby appointed as the day on which section 56 of the Diseases of Animals Act, 1966 (No. 6 of 1966), shall come into operation.

EXPLANATORY NOTE.

This Order brings into operation the section of the Diseases of Animals Act, 1966 , which gives the Minister power to make Orders as to dogs.
