MILK AND MILK PRODUCTS (RESTRICTION OF EXPORT) (AMENDMENT) ORDER, 1971.

I, JAMES GIBBONS, Minister for Agriculture and Fisheries, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 57 of the Dairy Produce Marketing Act, 1961 (No. 1 of 1961), as adapted by the Agriculture (Alteration of Name of Department and Title of Minister) Order, 1965 ( S.I. No. 146 of 1965 ), hereby order as follows:

1. (1) This Order may be cited as the Milk and Milk Products (Restriction of Export) (Amendment) Order, 1971.

(2) This Order shall come into operation on the 1st day of December, 1971.

2. The Milk and Milk Products (Restriction of Export) Order, 1964 ( S.I. No. 25 of 1964 ), is hereby amended by the substitution for Article 2 of the following:

"2. The export of any articles specified in Part I or Part II of the Schedule to this Order is hereby prohibited save under and in accordance with a licence in that behalf issued under the Dairy Produce Marketing Act, 1961 (No. 1 of 1961).".

EXPLANATORY NOTE.

The effect of this Order is to extend the existing export licensing control on chocolate crumb so as to apply also to the export of chocolate crumb to Great Britain, Northern Ireland or the Isle of Man.
