S.I. No. 165/1972:

HEALTH (REMOVAL OF OFFICERS AND SERVANTS) (AMENDMENT) REGULATIONS, 1972.

HEALTH (REMOVAL OF OFFICERS AND SERVANTS) (AMENDMENT) REGULATIONS, 1972.

The Minister for Health, in exercise of the powers conferred on him by Section 24 (3) of the Health Act, 1970 , (No. 1 of 1970)hereby makes the following Regulations :

1. These Regulations may be cited as the Health (Removal of Officers and Servants) (Amendment) Regulations, 1972.

2. The Health (Removal of Officers and Servants) Regulations, 1971 ( S.I. No. 110 of 1971 ) are hereby amended by the substitution of " 30th June, 1973 " for " 30th June, 1972 " in paragraph (i) of sub-article (4) of article 4.

EXPLANATORY NOTE.

The effect of these regulations is to extend to the 30th June, 1973, the period for which persons are nominated to the first panel from which certain members of a committee under Section 24 of the Health Act, 1970 , are appointed.

Section 24 of the Health Act, 1970 , provides that in certain circumstances removal of a permanent officer of a health board cannot be carried out except on a recommendation of a committee established by the Minister to enquire into the proposed removal.
