HARBOUR RATES (DUNDALK HARBOUR) ORDER, 1972. |

I, BRIAN LENIHAN, Minister for Transport and Power, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 104 of the Harbours Act, 1946 (No. 9 of 1946), and the Transport, Fuel and Power (Transfer of Departmental Administration and Ministerial Functions) Order, 1959 ( S.I. No. 125 of 1959 ), and after due compliance with section 106 of the said Act, hereby order as follows: |

1. This Order may be cited as the Harbour Rates (Dundalk Harbour) Order, 1972. |
||
2. This Order shall come into operation on the 11th day of October, 1972. |
||
3. Section 47 of the Dundalk Harbour and Port Act, 1925 (No. 3 (Private) of 1925), is hereby amended by the substitution for "five pence" of "six new pence". |
||
4. The maximum rates to be charged on goods by the Dundalk Harbour Commissioners shall be the rates (as amended by the Harbour Rates (Dundalk Harbour) Order, 1967 ( S.I. No. 160 of 1967 )) specified in Schedule "A" of the Dundalk Harbour and Port Act, 1925 , increased by 50 per cent. |

EXPLANATORY NOTE. |

The effect of this Order is to authorise the Dundalk Harbour Commissioners to increase goods and quayage rates. |
