ROAD TRAFFIC (LICENSING OF DRIVERS) (AMENDMENT) REGULATIONS, 1975.

The Minister for Local Government in exercise of the powers conferred on him by sections 5 , 33 and 42 of the Road Traffic Act, 1961 (No. 24 of 1961) hereby makes the following Regulations:--

1. These Regulations may be cited as the Road Traffic (Licensing of Drivers) (Amendment) Regulations, 1975.

2. These Regulations shall come into operation on the 1st day of December, 1975.

3. These Regulations and the Road Traffic (Licensing of Drivers) Regulations, 1964 to 1974 shall be construed as one and may be cited together as the Road Traffic (Licensing of Drivers) Regulations, 1964 to 1975.

4. Article 27 of the Road Traffic (Licensing of Drivers) Regulations, 1964 ( S.I. No. 29 of 1964 ) is hereby amended by the substitution for sub-article (1) (as inserted by article 8 of the Road Traffic (Licensing of Drivers) (Amendment) Regulations, 1973 ( S.I. No. 120 of 1973 )) of the following sub-article:

"(1) The fee to be paid to the issuing authority on application for a certificate of competency shall be £4.00 on the first such application by a person and shall be £2.00 on a second or subsequent such application by that person."

EXPLANATORY NOTE.

These Regulations amend the Road Traffic (Licensing of Drivers) Regulations, 1964 to 1974, so as to provide for revised rates of fees for driving tests.
