POSTAL ORDER (INLAND) AMENDMENT (NO. 12) REGULATIONS, 1975. |

I, CONOR CRUISE O'BRIEN, Minister for Posts and Telegraphs, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by sections 23 and 24 of the Post Office Act, 1908, section 5 of the Post Office (Amendment) Act, 1951 (No. 17 of 1951), and section 3 of the Post Office (Amendment) Act, 1969 (No. 18 of 1969), and with the consent of the Minister for Finance, hereby make the following regulations: |

1. These Regulations may be cited as the Postal Order (Inland) Amendment (No. 12) Regulations, 1975. |
||
2. These Regulations shall come into operation on the 1st day of January, 1976. |
||
3. The Interpretation Act, 1937 (No. 38 of 1937), applies to these Regulations. |
||
4. The Postal Order (Inland) Regulations, 1905, are hereby amended by the substitution of the following for Regulation 5 (inserted by the Postal Order (Inland) Amendment (No. 11) Regulations, 1974 ( S.I. No. 277 of 1974 ) ): |

"5. The poundage payable on postal orders shall be as follows: |
||
For an order for any multiple of £0.05 between £0.10 and |
||
£0.95, both inclusive .. .. .. .. ..4p |
||
For an order for any multiple of £1.00 between £1.00 and |
||
£10.00, both inclusive, and for £1.25 and £1.50 ..6p" |
||
EXPLANATORY NOTE. |
||
This Warrant applies to the Money Order service and comes into operation on the 1st January, 1976. It authorises increases in charges on inland and foreign money orders. |
||
