I, JUSTIN KEATING, Minister for Industry and Commerce, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 2 of the Agricultural and Fishery Products (Regulation of Exports) Act, 1947 (No. 18 of 1947), section 2 of the Control of Exports (Temporary Provisions) Act, 1956 (No. 1 of 1956) (which Act is continued in force by the Control of Exports (Temporary Provisions) Act, 1956 (Continuance) Act, 1971 (No. 5 of 1971)), and the Agricultural and Fishery Products (Regulation of Export) Act, 1947 (Transfer of Powers) Order, 1956 ( S.I. No. 52 of 1956 ) (as amended by the Agricultural and Fishery Products (Regulation of Export) Act, 1947 (Transfer of Powers) Order, 1956 (Amendment) Order, 1963 ( S.I. No. 21 of 1963 )), and after consultation with the Minister for Foreign Affairs, hereby order as follows: |

1. (1) This Order may be cited as the Control of Exports (Southern Rhodesia) Order, 1976. |
||
(2) This Order shall come into operation on the 25th day of June, 1976. |
||
2. The exportation to Southern Rhodesia of any goods to which this Order applies is hereby prohibited save under and in accordance with a licence. |
||
3. This Order applies to goods of a kind mentioned in the first column of the Schedule to the Imposition of Duties (No. 200) (Customs and Excise Duties and Form of Tariff) Order, 1972 ( S.I. No. 220 of 1972 ), at any tariff code number, other than products to which the Agricultural and Fishery Products (Regulation of Export to Southern Rhodesia) Order, 1969 ( S.I. No. 105 of 1969 ), applies. |

EXPLANATORY NOTE. |
||
The effect of this Order is to enable the Minister for Industry and Commerce to control the export to Southern Rhodesia of the goods specified in the Order. |
