THE LOCAL GOVERNMENT (WATER POLLUTION) ACT, 1977, (COMMENCEMENT) (NO. 2) ORDER, 1977.

The Minister for the Environment, in exercise of the powers conferred on him by section 33 of the Local Government (Water Pollution) Act, 1977 (No. 1 of 1977), hereby orders as follows:--

1. This Order may be cited as the Local Government (Water Pollution) Act, 1977 , (Commencement) (No. 2) Order, 1977.

2. On the 1st day of April, 1978, sections 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9 and 15, subsections (1), (2), (3), (4), (5), (6), (10), (11) and (12) of section 16, and sections 17 , 18 , 19 , 20 and 21 of the Local Government (Water Pollution) Act, 1977 shall come into operation generally.

EXPLANATORY NOTE.

This order brings into operation on 1st April, 1978, certain provisions of the Local Government (Water Pollution) Act, 1977 .
