HEALTH SERVICES REGULATIONS, 1978.

The Minister for Health, in exercise of the powers conferred on him by section 5 of the Health Act, 1947 (No. 28 of 1947) and by section 72 of the Health Act, 1970 (No. 1 of 1970), hereby makes the following Regulations:--

1. These Regulations may be cited as the Health Services Regulations, 1978.

2. The provisions of article 3 (1) of the Health Services Regulations, 1974 ( S.I. No. 90 of 1974 ) as substituted by the Health Services (Amendment) Regulations, 1976 ( S.I. No. 142 of 1976 ) shall not apply during the period from the 1st day of January, 1979 to the 6th day of April, 1979 to any person who, on the 31st day of December, 1978, is a person entitled to avail himself of the services provided under sections 52 (1), 56 (2), 62 (1) and 63 (1) of the Health Act, 1970 , or to the dependants of such a person.

EXPLANATORY NOTE.

These regulations continue until the 6th April, 1979 the eligibility for hospital and maternity and infant care services under sections 52 (1), 56 (2), 62 (1) and 63 (1) of the Health Act, 1970 of certain insured persons who have this eligibility on the 31st December, 1978.
