PROTECTION OF YOUNG PERSONS (EMPLOYMENT) (SECTION 4) ORDER, 1979. |

I, GENE FITZGERALD, Minister for Labour, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 4 (5) of the Protection of Young Persons (Employment) Act, 1977 (No. 9 of 1977), hereby order as follows: |
||
1. This Order may be cited as the Protection of Young Persons (Employment) (Section 4) Order, 1979. |
||
2. This Order shall come into operation on the 4th day of July, 1979. |
||
3. Section 4 (3) of the Protection of Young Persons (Employment) Act, 1977 (No. 9 of 1977), shall continue in force for the period of 12 months commencing on the commencement of this Order. |

EXPLANATORY NOTE. |
||
This Order provides that Section 4 (3) of the Protection of Young Persons (Employment) Act, 1977 , which governs the hours of work of children under 15, but over 14 years of age, shall remain in force for a period not exceeding twelve months from the date of commencement of the Order. |
