The Minister for Industry, Commerce and Tourism, in exercise of the powero conferred on him by sections 22A and 22C (inserted by the Prices (Amendment) Act, 1965 (No. 23 of 1965)) of the Prices Act, 1958 (No. 4 of 1958), as amended by the Prices (Amendment) Act, 1972 (No. 20 of 1972), the Prices Stabilisation Order, 1973 ( S.I. No. 96 of 1973 ), and the Industry, Commerce and Energy (Alteration of Name of Department and Title of Minister) Order, 1980 ( S.I. No. 10 of 1980 ), hereby orders as follows:

1. This Order may be cited as the Maximum Prices (Petroleum Products) (No. 2) Order, 1980.
|
|
|
2. (1) The maximum price at which a petroleum product of a brand, grade or description mentioned in column (2) of the Schedule to this Order at a particular reference may be sold shall, in the case of a delivery, pursuant to one or more sales, of 100 gallons or more of the product at a time, be a price calculated at the rate of the price per gallon mentioned in column (3) of that Schedule at that particular reference.

(2) This paragraph shall come into operation on the 28th day of February, 1980.
|
|
|
3. (1) The maximum price at which a petroleum product of a brand, grade or description mentioned in column (2) of the Schedule to this Order at any of the following references, that is to say 1 (a), 1 (b), 1 (c), 1 (f), 2 (a), 2 (b), 2 (c), 2 (f), 3 (a), 3 (b), 3 (c), 3 (e), 4 (a), 4 (b), 4 (c), 5 (a), 5 (b), 5 (c), 5 (f), 6 (a), 6 (b), 6 (c), 6 (f), 7 (a), 7 (b), 7 (c), may be sold shall, in the case of a delivery, pursuant to one or more sales of less than 100 gallons of the product at a time, be a price calculated at the rate of the price per gallon mentioned in column (4) of that Schedule at that particular reference.

(2) This paragraph shall come into operation on the 3rd day of March, 1980.
|
|
|
4. (1) The Maximum Prices (Petroleum Products) Order, 1980 ( S.I. No. 39 of 1980 ), is revoked, with effect from the 28th day of February, 1980 other than paragraph 4.
|
|
|
(2) Paragraph 4 of the Maximum Prices (Petroleum Products) Order, 1980 ( S.I. No. 39 of 1980 ) is revoked with effect from the 3rd day of March, 1980.
|

EXPLANATORY NOTE.
|
|
|
This Order fixes the maximum price at which a petroleum product of a brand, grade or description set out in the Schedule to the Order may be sold in the case of deliveries of less than 100 gallons (i.e. by retail).
