I, GERARD COLLINS, Minister for Justice, in exercise of the power conferred on me by section 3 of the Arbitration Act, 1980 (No. 7 of 1980), hereby order as follows:

1. This Order may be cited as the Arbitration Act, 1980 (Part III) (Commencement) Order, 1981.

2. The 10th day of August, 1981, is hereby appointed to be the day on which Part III of the Arbitration Act, 1980 (No. 7 of 1980), shall come into operation.

EXPLANATORY NOTE.

This Order brings into affect Part III of the Arbitration Act, 1980 with effect from the 10th of August 1981. The provisions of this Part of the Act deal with the enforcement of awards under the Convention on the Recognition and Enforcement of Foreign Arbitral Awards done at New York on 10th June, 1958.
