REDUNDANCY PAYMENTS (EMPLOYER'S REDUNDANCY CONTRIBUTION) REGULATIONS, 1983.

I, LIAM KAVANAGH, Minister for Labour, in exercise of the power conferred on me by section 28 (3) of the Redundancy Payments Act, 1967 (No. 21 of 1967) (inserted by the Redundancy Payments Act, 1979 (No. 7 of 1979)), with the consent of the Minister for Finance, hereby make the following Regulations:

1. These Regulations may be cited as the Redundancy Payments (Employer's Redundancy Contribution) Regulations, 1983.

2. The Redundancy Payments (Variation of Employer's Redundancy Contribution) Regulations, 1982 ( S.I. No. 75 of 1982 ), are hereby amended by the substitution of the following paragraph for paragraph (2) of Regulation 1:

"(2) These Regulations shall come into operation on the 6th day of April, 1982".

EXPLANATORY NOTE.

The effect of these Regulations is to continue the percentage rate of 0.01 of PRSI reckonable earnings which employers are required to pay as contributions to the Redundancy Fund under the Redundancy Payments Acts, 1967 to 1979.
