THE MEDICAL BUREAU OF ROAD SAFETY (ESTABLISHMENT) ORDER, 1968 (AMENDMENT) ORDER, 1983.

The Minister for the Environment in exercise of the powers conferred on him by sections 37,39 and 40 of the Road Traffic Act, 1968 (No. 25 of 1968) hereby orders as follows:

1. This Order may be cited as the Medical Bureau of Road Safety (Establishment) Order, 1968 (Amendment) Order, 1983.

2. This Order shall come into operation on the 1st day of January, 1984.

3. The Medical Bureau of Road Safety (Establishment) Order, 1968 ( S.I. No. 241 of 1968 ) is hereby amended by the substitution for sub-article (2) of article 16 of the following sub-article--

"(2) The seal of the Bureau shall be authenticated by the signature of the Chairman or of some other member of the Bureau duly authorised by the Bureau to act in that behalf or by the signature of the Director or of a person appointed to act as his deputy under subsection (5) of section 39 of the Act."

EXPLANATORY NOTE.

This Order amends the Medical Bureau of Road Safety (Establishment) Order, 1968, so as to modify the procedure regarding the authentication of the seal of the Bureau.
