AGRICULTURAL PRODUCE (FRESH MEAT) ACT, 1930 (EXPORTER'S LICENCES) (FEES) REGULATIONS, 1983.

AGRICULTURAL PRODUCE (FRESH MEAT) ACT, 1930 (EXPORTER'S LICENCES) (FEES) REGULATIONS, 1983.

I, AUSTIN DEASY, Minister for Agriculture, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 51 of and the Schedule (inserted by the Agricultural Produce (Meat) (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act, 1978 (No. 13 of 1978)) to the Agricultural Produce (Fresh Meat) Act, 1930 (No. 10 of 1930), and the Agriculture and Fisheries (Alteration of Name of Department and Title of Minister) Order, 1977 ( S.I. No. 31 of 1977 ), hereby make the following regulations with respect to which, pursuant to section 13 (9) of the Agricultural Produce (Fresh Meat) Act, 1930 (inserted by section 6 (1) of the Agricultural Produce (Meat) (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act, 1978 ), a draft has been laid before each House of the Oireachtas and a resolution approving of the draft has been passed by each such House:

1. These Regulations may be cited as the Agricultural Produce (Fresh Meat) Act, 1930 (Exporter's Licences) (Fees) Regulations, 1983.

2. These Regulations shall come into operation on the 1st day of January, 1984.

3. The Interpretation Act, 1937 (No. 38 of 1937), applies to these Regulations.

4. For the purposes of paragraph (a) of Rule 1 of the Schedule (inserted by the Agricultural Produce (Meat) (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act, 1978 ) of the Agricultural Produce (Fresh Meat) Act, 1930 , the sum of £3.25 is hereby prescribed as the appropriate sum for a beef exporter's licence.

5. For the purposes of paragraph (b) of the said Rule 1, the sum of £1.10 is hereby prescribed as the appropriate sum for a pork exporter's licence.

6. For the purposes of paragraph (c) of the said Rule 1, the sum of £0.55 is hereby prescribed as the appropriate sum for a mutton exporter's licence.

7. For the purposes of paragraph (d) of the said Rule 1, the sum of £3.25 is hereby prescribed as the appropriate sum for a horse-flesh exporter's licence.

8. The Agricultural Produce (Fresh Meat) Act, 1930 (Exporter's Licenses) (Fees) (No. 2) Regulations, 1982 ( S.I. No. 383 of 1982 ), are hereby revoked.

EXPLANATORY NOTE.

These Regulations increase as from 1 January 1984 fees payable by fresh meat exporters for veterinary examination of animals in accordance with the Agricultural Produce (Fresh Meat) Act, 1930 .
